andthenBAM.com: Join the American Renewable Energy Revolution!

My personal renewable energy blog. I manage this website through WordPress with the intention of spreading knowledge of clean and renewable energy technologies. I use this medium to relay clean energy tax credits, highlight new technology and events, promote energy/resource conservation, and spread awareness through how-to videos. I possess a good understanding of XHTML and CSS styling as well.

United States Air Force

Electrical Systems

The Electrical Systems Apprentice Course administered by the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) was where I developed a passion for electricity. As a student, I gained an invaluable knowledge base from some of the nation's top electrical instructors, all varying in backgrounds and skills. The course covered everything from industrial transmission to commercial wiring. The CCAF provided me with real hands-on training with both interior and exterior electrical systems.

Basic Training

Basic Training in the United States Air Force is a unique challenge. The Air Force demands a constant awareness from their recruits, putting an emphasis on "attention-to-detail." Although sometimes harsh, my drill instructors taught me personal strength and discipline in the face of adversity.

Honorable Discharge

This document falsely describes my rank as an Airman First-Class, though I had been promoted to Senior Airman. My Report of Separation and Record of Service lists my correct rank. That said, my former base in Reno, Nevada provided me with three years of electrical systems apprenticeship after a year of rigorous tech-school training in Texas. Most of the apprenticeship was focused on commercial wiring, but I also had a broad list of duties. One of the most difficult training scenarios had us spend a Summer day in Florida deploying airfield lighting systems as quickly as possible, all while wearing full chemical protection gear.

Senior Project

Emotionally Human: Creating an Emotional Intelligence Quotient Test (also known as an EIQ Test).

Being highly interested in psychology as a young student, I opted to make my own EIQ test as my senior project. The Emotional Quotient Test is designed to score and identify a person's behavioral patterns. Possibly more important than one's IQ score, emotional intelligence is vital to any career field. For example, one may spend a lifetime studying his or her given career, yet fail if he or she cannot appropriately manage stresses or effectively communicate with other people. Generally, a person's emotional intelligence does not shift much after forming in adolescence, though conscious efforts to identify and increase emotional intelligence results in improvement.
